LifeOS8 privacy policy

Who this is for

LifeOS8 is a private app for one family household. It is run by the household's account holder, and only people the household has set up can sign in. It is not offered to the public.

What the app reads from Apple Health

With your permission, the iPhone app reads: steps, active energy, exercise minutes, distance walking or running, flights climbed, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, breathing rate, blood oxygen, sleeping wrist temperature, VO2 max, body weight, sleep, stand hours, mindful sessions and workouts.

Access is read-only. The app never writes anything to Apple Health. You can change or withdraw access at any time in Health, under Profile, Apps, LifeOS8.

Where it goes

Daily summaries and workout summaries are saved to the household's private cloud database. They are visible to you and to your household's adult account holders. A separate setting controls whether you appear on the household's family board.

Minute-by-minute heart-rate readings are not uploaded or stored. Today's Energy and Stress views are worked out on the phone.

Health data is not stored in iCloud.

What we do not do

Your data is never sold, never used for advertising or marketing, and never given to data brokers. The app does not track you across other apps or sites and uses no third-party analytics.

A few service providers process data only to run the app: database hosting (Supabase), website hosting (Vercel), email delivery (Brevo), and an AI assistant on the website (Anthropic). The assistant receives your question and the journal and score summaries it needs to answer, only when you use it.

Money data

Money and Wealth data is limited to the adult account holders, is handled on the server only, and is protected by Face ID and device pairing. Full account numbers are not stored.

Deleting your data

To delete an account and all of its data, contact the household's account holder, or use Send Beta Feedback in TestFlight.
